I have been writing most of my life. In my younger years my writing consisted mostly of poetry. Over the years it became increasingly difficult to express my thoughts this way. I eventually migrated to short stories, journals, memoirs, children’s picture books, and am currently working on a coffee table book. It is important to note that none of these have been formally published. One day I will work on that.
I live on an Island, Prince Edward Island, on a sandy shore where wildlife changes on an hourly basis, and it is easy to find the moments to capture it all. My island home is reflective of nature’s bounties. Retired now, I am in the purge mode. I am immersed in purging the trappings of yesteryear, when ‘things’ were important, and it leaves me with a feeling of lightheadedness. It is liberating.
This blog will have a mishmash of topics. One of my personal favorites is decorating with beach ‘finds’. The treasures I have found on shores and beaches may look like junk to some. To me, they are the jewels of my existence.
I welcome your comments, suggestions, and your critiques.
